CCIF 2017 Toronto broke attendance records with over 700 registrations, with a third of the registrants being first-time CCIF attendees.
Andrew King from DesRosiers Automotive Consultants Inc. gave attendees a brief outlook on the auto industry and trends to watch out for. Some of the stats he shared highlighted current and future effects on our industry such as autonomous and connected vehicles reducing accidents, environmental regulations forcing OEMs to improve efficiency, and recent changes to mobility and ride sharing.
Patrice Marcil delivered another enlightening presentation on the Collision Industry-Education project. Patrice moderated a panel discussion with auto body program managers/instructors from colleges across the country that highlighted the challenges faced by the colleges with both budgets and growing costs, dated equipment and staying current on the rapid technological advancements of vehicle repairs.
